Democrats changed the rules, stacked the hearings with second-hand and third-hand witnesses, blocked Republicans from their day of witnesses, cut off Republicans from any decisions or requested witnesses, blocked Republicans and the White House from interviewing their original “whistleblower” Eric Ciaramella who is linked to Schiff, John Brennan, Susan Rice and Joe Biden.

Democrats blocked the White House from confronting their accuser, interrogating their accuser and providing witnesses – a basic right of every American citizen.

California Schools Sued Over Use Of "Culturally-Biased" Standardized Testing For Admissions

America was once a nation of meritocracy, that shamed the lazy and encouraged hard work; but now, as Millennials increasingly support a "we are all equal" socialist state with leftist politicians villifying the successful, a new wave of anti-meritocratic policies are sweeping across much of academia.

The latest incarnation of this is a much-anticipated lawsuit, filed by a group of students and community organizations, against the University of California, alleging that the university system discriminates against low-income students, racial minorities and others by requiring SAT or ACT admissions tests.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the suit was filed Tuesday in California state court on behalf of a high-school sophomore, two seniors, and a first-year student at Pasadena City College (several California social-justice nonprofits are also plaintiffs in the suit), all of whom it says would be strong candidates for more selective UC campuses except for their test scores.

Aside from this sounding like the standard parent unable to admit their child is not the next Einstein, the plaintiffs seek to bar the UC system from requiring applicants to submit SAT or ACT scores, and from using scores in admission decisions.

“These discriminatory tests irreparably taint UC’s ostensibly ‘holistic’ admissions process,” the lawsuit says, adding that the tests “act as a proxy for wealth and race and thus concentrate privilege on UC campuses.”

Earlier this year, under relentless pressure from the racial-preferences lobby, the Board caved to the anti-meritocratic ideology of “diversity.” Colleges, it was suggested, could use this adversity index to boost the admissions ranking of allegedly disadvantaged students who otherwise would score too poorly to be considered for admission.

The best part is when it appears that Nadler is pressing the wrong button and instead of closing, the elevator doors keep opening subjecting him to more verbal abuse. "Shame on you Chairman Nadler," says a protester in a MAGA hat while Nadler fiddles with elevator buttons. "Trump is your president and he will be in 2020. Shame on you sir."

God bless America. Polls show that Americans do not favor impeachment, but the Democrats are pushing ahead anyway.

According to the Monmouth poll – which was released Wednesday – 50 percent said the president should not be impeached and removed from office, with 45 percent calling for impeachment and removal from the White House. The numbers are little changed from Monmouth’s November poll, when a 51-44 percent majority opposed impeachment and removal.

Fundraising efforts by Trump and GOP are through the roof. Brad Parscale, Trump's campaign manager, told reporters Thursday "This lit up our base, lit up the people that are supporters of the president. They’re frustrated, they’re upset, and that motivates voters." He continued, “That has put money in our bank. It has added volunteers to our field program,” he said. “It’s filled up the rallies easier."

So, yeah. Looks like impeachment might turn out to be a big bust for Democrats.

Gov. Bevin pardons convicted child rapist from Kenton County

Man not required to register as sex offender

Because of a pardon handed down by Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin this week, a man convicted of raping a child in Kenton County walked out of prison a free man on Wednesday.

Officials say he will not have to register as a sex offender, and he can even apply to have the conviction wiped from his record.

Instead of serving the 23-year sentence a Kenton County jury recommended, 41-year-old Micah Schoettle is free after less than 18 months behind bars.

The prosecutor in his case, the victim's family and others on social media have railed against Bevin's decision to pardon Schoettle, one of 428 Kentuckians he pardoned or whose sentences he commuted earlier this week.

'Shame on him'

The mother of Schoettle's victim, whom WCPO is not identifying to protect her family, said learning of his pardon felt like “a slap in the face.”

"It feels like we're going through it all over again … we just got to the point where we felt safe leaving the house and not looking over our shoulders," she told WCPO.

The middle-school student who first accused Schoettle in 2016 told Florence police he had repeatedly sexually assaulted her since she was 9 years old.

Mysterious Blast Claims Lives Of Several White Helmets Members In Northwest Hama

A mysterious blast in the northwestern Hama countryside claimed the lives of at least three members of the White Helmets organization late on December 13.

The three killed persons, who were members of the White Helmets’ unexploded ordnance (UXO) team, were identified as Muhammad Naqooh, Saleh Arafat, and Ahmad al-Hallak.

In a short statement, the White Helmets claimed that the three men were killed while working to secure a location that was recently targeted by Syrian government forces.

“[They] were killed instantly after a landmine exploded while they working on securing a target location this evening, in Qastoun village in [north] western Hama,” the statement reads.

Contrary to the organization’s claims, a source familiar with the incident told Sputnik that the White Helmets members were killed while transporting explosives to the governorate of Idlib.

“The explosion was large, it immediately killed the three members and completely destroyed their vehicle,” the source said.

Russia and Syria had accused the White Helmets, which are receiving support from the UK, the U.S. and other Western states, of collaborating with al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

Last November, the organization’s founder James Le Mesurier, an ex British officer, was found dead near his apartment in Istanbul in what was described as an “apparent suicide.”

Libyan Army Destroys Turkish Weapon Shipment To GNA Forces

The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced on December 13 that it had destroyed a large shipment of weapons, that was recently supplied by Turkey to forces loyal to the Government of National Accord (GNA) in the Libyan coastal city of Misrata.

In an official statement, the army revealed that it received credible information saying that large quantities of weapons, ammunitions, armored vehicles and other military equipment were shipped to Misrata’s naval and aerial ports.

Turkey supplied these weapons and equipment to Misrata’s forces as a part of its recent maritime agreement with the GNA, according to the LNA.

The weapons shipments as well as Turkish-made drones, which were stored in Misrata’s Air Academy and other parts of the city, were targeted by the Libyan Air Force (LAF).

“The shipments’ storage areas were targeted and destroyed with high accuracy and success, as a result of the strikes, successive explosions occurred and a fire erupted in the Turkish drones’ hangar… Our warplanes safely returned to their bases,” the LNA’s statement reads.

Misrata’s forces, which are among the largest, most capable forces supporting the GNA, have not commented on the LNA’s claims, so far.

The LNA’s Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar announced a day ago the launch of a “decisive battle” to capture the capital, Tripoli. A step that was apparently motivated by the GNA’s maritime agreement with Turkey.
