Iām talking about the infamous āpee tape,ā of course. This week, it was finally decapitated, burned, and buried, thanks to the DOJ Inspector Generalās review of the FBIās āCrossfire Hurricaneā campaign surveillance. The most succinct summary of this development comes from Rolling Stoneās Matt Taibbi, no friend to Breitbart or Trump:
The Steele report reads like a pile of rumors surrounded by public information pulled off the Internet, and the Horowitz report does nothing to dispel this notion.
At the time the FBI submitted its first FISA application, Horowitz writes, it had ācorroborated limited information in Steeleās election reporting, and most of that was publicly available information.ā Horowitz says of Steeleās reports: āThe CIA viewed it as āinternet rumor.āā
Worse (and this part of the story should be tattooed on the heads of Russia truthers), the FBIās interviews of Steeleās sources revealed Steele embellished the most explosive parts of his report.
The āpee tapeā story, which inspired countless grave headlines (see this chin-scratching New York Times history of Russian āsexual blackmailā) and plunged the Trump presidency into crisis before it began, was, this source said, based a āconversation that [he/she] had over beers,ā with the sexual allegations madeā¦ in ājestā!
Steele in his report said the story had been āconfirmedā by senior, Western hotel staff, but the actual source said it was all ārumor and speculation,ā never confirmed. In fact, charged by Steele to find corroboration, the source could not: corroboration was āzero,ā writes Horowitz.
You got that? Steele took a joke he heard about Trump (golden showers from Russian hookers), stuffed it into a grave-sounding Word document, and bluffed that it was āconfirmed.ā And, knowing there was nothing there, watch how former FBI Director James Comey continued to blow smoke as though this thing had any credibility whatsoever ā more than a year later:
Comeyās book ā and the subsequent press tour ā is a main reason why New York magazineās Jonathan Chait said he went from a pee tape skeptic to a āpeeliever.ā
While everyone else is (rightfully) outraged about the FBIās misconduct detailed in the IG report, the pee tape is the most important passage by far, because itās the only thing that trickles down past the legal wonks (cue Andrew Breitbartās line about culture being upstream of politics). Stephen Colbert devoted a whole segment to it on his late-night show, pounding on his desk, shouting, āItās the only part we care about! Itās the part we talk about, the pee-pee tape! Pee-pee tape! Pee-pee tape! Pee-pee tape! Pee-pee tape!ā

I know President Trump has big shoulders and he can take it as far as all of these attacks, insults and great disrespect he has endured, but, I, for one, am so angry about all that he and his family has had to deal with
seriously, do not know of any other President, or public figure, at least in my lifetime, who has been so mistreated by media, celebrities and other politicians
just need to get this off my chest because, God knows, this man, our 45th President, has done so much to save our country, and the least this man deserves is some kind of recompense, and his family, too
Thank You for Your Ear

MAGA Promise

Get the popcorn, Friday & Saturday will deliver on the MAGA promise. POTUS knows he must clean house (gov't) in order to 'free up' and demonstrate who has authority in order to pass important legislation. This was always the priority. Remember, AG Sessions cannot look like an impartial player that is out to get all former Obama team members as we need him for other important work. All will come into focus and for anyone to think POTUS is not in control is kidding themselves. Also, he's 100% insulated with zero risk of impeachment (fact).
