While righteousness belonged to the Lord, confusion belonged unto the people. Why? Because they had sinned against the Lord. Sin takes an otherwise clear and indisputable reality and blurs it with things that are corrupt or inaccurate. Each sin committed makes it more difficult for a child of God to discern the perfect will of God, and it blurs the otherwise broad line between sin and righteousness. Therefore, any believer who desires clarity of mind will eschew evil.
