NJ legislators OK licenses for undocumented immigrants, send bill to Gov. Phil Murphy
WHAT A LOAD OF BULLSHHT!
– Margarita Rodriguez of Passaic caught a bus to Trenton on Monday morning after her graveyard shift. She wanted to be there when lawmakers voted on a bill that would allow her, and other immigrants without legal status, to get a driver's license.
The New Jersey Assembly and Senate passed the bill in separate votes on Monday afternoon, sending the bill to Gov. Phil Murphy, who has already said he would sign it. Supporters, who claimed seats in each chamber's public viewing area and filled at least one other viewing room, erupted with cheers of "Sí, se pudo" — yes, we could — after the Legislature passed the bill.
