If a sting was set up on the 7th Floor, I'm guessing /ourguys/ still needed a swampy director as cheese in the maze for the rest of the rats. It just couldn't be Comey for whatever reason. But…I half-think Comey was still calling the shots as shadow director. That's just my gut, though.
I don't want to say no, but I did the OCR conversion myself with some of the Collins transcripts recently and Comey came up Corney there as well. It's a meaningful misspelling obviously, but very common for his name apparently. Not just in the IG docs.
Isn't Robert Wray the guy that's on FOX sometimes lately?
