Testing, testing…is this thing on? Who's ready for some night shift?
A year before his assassination, President Kennedy took a trip to Baltimore under the pretense of campaigning for more Democrat House seats. On October 10,1962, President Kennedy landed in his helicopter at Patterson Park where he would then take an open top car to the 5th Regiment Armory and speak for barely 10 minutes.
Reading some press from the time raises questions whether a campaign for House seats was actually the real purpose of this visit. Certainly the timing of his trip to Baltimore is strangely proximate to the commencement of the Cuban Missile Crisis, less than a week later.
The Cuban Missile Crisis, also known as the October Crisis of 1962 was a 13-day (October 16–28, 1962) confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union initiated by the American discovery of Soviet ballistic missile deployment in Cuba. The confrontation is often considered the closest the Cold War came to escalating into a full-scale nuclear war.
I'm wondering what JFK was really doing in Baltimore. Might there be some dots to connect here? Bill Cooper, are you in here?
