then open a catalog in a tab
and refresh that catalog once an hour.
And refresh the page that had the graphics in it once to pull the images into your browser's web cache.
Apparently VanwaNet is "working as designed" but it's not 100% comfy.
Workarounds exist and anons learn them.

Occasionally MF forgets or fails to run the conversion of .JPEG filenames to .JPG
Occasionally MF goofs and converts a .PNG that should remain .PNG because transparent
Occasionally there IRL distractions/disruptions and things don't go as planned.
The original memecollection effort occurred long before anons figured out that .JPEG filenames have a hover problem here.
The effort to rename all .JPEG to .JPG was not applied retroactively to all files, lest we accidentally convert more .PNGs that shouldn't be converted.
