How could someone apologize for not committing anything?
I believe it's getting too hot for them.
They want it to end now, they understand that they are trapped.
And now, when they can't use their bogus understanding of the 'law' against other people,
now, when the real law will be used to punish them for their crimes, they suddenly fear what's coming.
