I'm no baker but would love to help revise dough
Below is my conceptualization for what future breads/doughs should be made of. Thoughts anyone?
-Fun subject fields
-Link to dedicated FAQ thread or pastebin (I will help work on this, I'm a writefag. It will explain the basics clearly and concisely in case anyone needs to get caught up.)
-Link to dedicated links thread with all kinds of links and explanations for them, including archives
-Select direct off-site links - only the most useful and relevant at that general point in time (not sure what, IMO trumptwitterachive.com and qcodefag.github.io/ should be there, and the spreadsheet, and say, 2, others) w/ minimal explanation.
-A word of encouragement, and a reminder: We are the calm before, during, and after the storm. We are all researchers in a collaborative online workspace.
-A word of guidance: eg, right now we should be focused on authenticating Q's posts; then, a reasonable list of alternative leads.
-Brief baking instructions, maybe?
-Direct links to latest Q posts and up-to-date map/authentication graphic - possibly in second, follow up post
THAT'S IT.
IN MORE OR LESS THAT ORDER.
STREAMLINED.
SLEEK.
FUNCTIONAL.
PROFESSIONAL.
I'd like to, however sometimes Q posts a lot in one night. It might not fit. I whittled it down the bare essentials, haven't I? 2 posts is no big deal, especially if the second one is all Q-posts exclusively. This is also easier to process and understand, imo.
Hm. Yeah, maybe. I'd have to try it to see how I feel. But I can't imagine it not being helpful to list the latest updates, to wellโฆ keep people up to date. You can't rely on everyone to keep an eye on /tga/ on their own accord all of the time. Wouldn't it be marginally more convenient to have a list here, of fresh drops? Not to argue, I'm willing to listen. Just honestly expressing my thoughts.
I'm not sure how it's going to work out now with Q having his own board. There may prove to be no need to list his posts. Although they still need to be archived obviously, but that's beside the point. All I know is, practically the only useful thing ever in old dough was the Q updates section, soโฆ
Whether or not we keep it, I don't really care as long as the alternative is more useful. So whatever we decide.
How abouts the rest of the outline, aside from that?
Maybe a single line detailing the time of Q's last post, or simply linking to his very most recent post. Everybody remembers what his last post was that they personally reviewed. If they notice a discrepancy, it'll be off to /tga/ for them to reconcile.
