I think many anons have slightly misinterpreted the definition. That huge drop in the markets a few weeks ago….that's the drop. The also-rapid rise right after, THAT is the bounce. It becomes apparent as a "dead cat bounce" if another fall which breaks through the first low happens. We are now re-testing that low.

 

Sometimes the drop is just consolidation after a rally and the trend continues upward. You can't really identify a DCB until after it has happened. But I'd bet on the recent spike after that big drop being a DCB if I had money to gamble. Especially if the tech "BOOMS" keep busting bubbles.
