Chris Christie launches group to protect Senate Republicans amid impeachment
Chris Christie is launching a seven-figure offensive to help Senate Republicans amid President Trump’s impeachment.
Christie’s issue advocacy organization, Right Direction America, is expected to begin a TV and digital advertising campaign on Monday in key 2020 Senate races, including Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, and North Carolina, according to Politico.
The former New Jersey governor’s efforts are a counterweight to those of liberal billionaire Tom Steyer, who is running for president in 2020 and whose organization, Need to Impeach, is targeting Senate Republicans over impeachment.
