I would have thought Doug Collins was headed straight to the Senate

But then POTUS summoned Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and Kemp's designated appointee Kelly Loeffler to fill the remainder of Sen. Johnny Isakson's term.

Loeffler and her husband are very high-$ new Atlanta money

She owns a bitcoin transaction management company and is worth a fortune

Her husband is worth an even bigger fortune

She can totally self-finance a campaign and not even notice the expense

Never heard so much as a peep out of Trump, Kemp, or Loeffler after that meeting.

Georgia Tea Party & others were SUPER pissed about Loeffler

Loeffler owns the Atlanta womens basketball team, has supported Planned Parenthood in the past, AND is on the board of completely fucked-up Grady Hospital, Atlanta's major trauma center hospital. It's been trying to operate under the corrupt and unskilled management of almost 100% blacks who can't manage their way out of a wet paper bag.

(Grady is another story altogether, check the news)

Anyhow, I live in metro Atlanta and am not even hearing rumors about this. I have to wonder exactly what Trump/Kemp/Loeffler talked about.

Trump has all the power moves in his hand

Personally I think Kemp, who is a basic Georgia Bulldog good ol' boy, is in way over his head. Not a national player. His job is to stay in the Governor's mansion on West Paces Ferry and STAY his skinny Athens Country Club ass there, because Democrats are after it like Sherman was after the town a few years ago.

Loeffler wants to be a Senator the way she might want a Rolls or a Hermes handbag. It's a shiny new thing. Oh, she's smart and photogenic, she can no doubt handle the gig, but I don't trust in her motives yet. I've seen people get Tuxedo Road-itis before. Those people are here for 5-10-15 years, then they're gone. All their business decisions are made with that mindset. No ties to the state, and it separates the wheat from the chaff every time.

Also, she's got way more money than the Stacy Abrams/San Francisco/Stanford machine can handle. They want Georgia, bad.

My theory: Trump is saving Doug Collins for something bigger than the Senate. Trump may have had a Come to Jesus meeting with Kemp and Loeffler, and explained some hard truth to both of them: play for Q team, or I'll make you wish you had.

It's all just more fascinating because of how quiet things in Atlanta have been.

I'd sure like to know what's really going on.
