Allegations of espionage rock Credit Suisse, as more employees come forward

December 19, 2019 by Joseph Fitsanakis 1 Comment

Credit Suisse, one of the world’s most powerful banking firms, says it has opened an investigation into claims that it paid private investigators to spy at individuals, just two months after a similar scandal involving espionage and surveillance rocked the company.

In October of this year, two senior Credit Suisse executives resigned amidst a high-stakes espionage scandal, which may have prompted a suicide. The alleged target of the espionage was Iqbal Khan, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Credit Suisse’s wealth-management division. Khan alleged that he was spied on by private investigators, paid for by Credit Suisse, after leaving the firm. One of the private investigators involved in the case, described as “an external security expert” who mediated between Credit Suisse and the investigation firm, committed suicide.

At the time, Credit Suisse described the surveillance on Khan as “strictly an isolated incident”. However, on December 11, The Wall Street Journal published allegations by another Credit Suisse executive, Colleen Graham, who said that she had been spied on after leaving her job at the firm. She alleged that she underwent three days of intensive surveillance by persons unknown in July of 2017. Credit Suisse was dismissive of Graham’s claims, saying that they were baseless.

But on Wednesday the firm announced the launching of a new probe after a third employee, who used to work directly under Credit Suisse Chief Executive Officer Tidjane Thiam, alleged that he too had been spied on. The allegations were made by Peter Goerke, and were the subject of a headline article by the respected Swiss daily Neue ZĂźrcher Zeitung. The article was accompanied by documents and photographs submitted by Goerke, which are said to support his claims.

Quantum Technology Expert to Discuss Quantum Sensors for Defense Applications at ONR

December 17, 2019 – Michael J. Biercuk, founder and CEO of Q-CTRL, will describe how quantum sensors may provide exceptional new capabilities to the warfighter at the Office of Naval Research (ONR) on Jan. 13, 2020, as part of the ONR’s 2020 Distinguished Lecture Series.

“I am honored to be taking part in this renowned lecture series”

Quantum sensing is considered one of the most promising areas in the global research effort to leverage the exotic properties of quantum physics for real-world benefit. In his lecture titled “Quantum Control as a Means to Improve Quantum Sensing in Realistic Environments,” Biercuk will describe how new concepts in quantum control engineering applied to these sensors could dramatically enhance standoff detection and precision navigation and timing in military settings.

Biercuk is one of the world’s leading experts in the field of quantum technology. In 2017, he founded Q-CTRL based on research he led at the Quantum Control Lab at the University of Sydney, where he is a professor of Quantum Physics and Quantum Technology.

Funded by some of the world’s leading investors, including Silicon Valley-based Sierra Ventures and Sequoia Capital, Q-CTRL is dedicated to helping teams realize the true potential of quantum hardware, from sensing to quantum computing. In quantum computing, the team is known for its efforts in reducing hardware errors caused by environmental “noise.” Computational errors are considered a major obstacle in the development of useful quantum computers and sought-after breakthroughs in science and industry.

The Disney Occult Deception

Posted on 25 Jun 2019 by Truth in Reality

Walt Disney has accomplished numerous truly amazing feats when it comes to deceiving people, seeming to provide exciting yet wholesome entertainment while delivering witchcraft and occult mind control right into their homes.

Disney has been able to achieve this by skillfully creating characters, screenplay and plots carefully crafted to lead people to think along certain lines, using powerful subliminal messages, imagery and symbolism, of occult, witchcraft, pagan, Illuminati, masonic, sexual and other satanic origins. The borders separating good and evil are blurred and good is made to seem evil, boring or just plain wrong, while evil is presented as good, or somehow interesting, fascinating, glamorous, exciting and desirable.

Disney has taken fairy tales, fables, legends and stories from all over the world, and applying various themes to places, nature, animals, and characters both real and fantasy, along with appealing music and lyrics, creatively manipulated and packaged to cater for their evil agenda. Many of these fairy stories are quite dark anyway, but Disney has cultivated the expertise to make them even darker.

Colourful witches and wizards abound in Disney productions. From Queen Grimhilde in the first Disney film Snow White in 1938, through Madam Mim in The Sword in the Stone, and Cruella De Vil, to the 2014 film dedicated to the life story of the witch Maleficent, almost every Disney film has some type of witch.

In Disney’s Little Mermaid, Ariel signs a contract with the evil witch Ursula – or sells her soul to her? – in exchange for being human so she can marry her prince.

There is a plethora of demonic pagan gods and temples with some impressive imagery. Time and again the hero and/or heroine is seen to visit them to consult them, but the God of the Bible is almost always missing from the equation. For example, in the true story, Pocahontas converted to Christianity, yet in the Disney movie, she visited a temple to consult with demonic pagan ‘nature’ gods and goddesses.

Fantasia is full of demonic imagery and mythological characters. In this cartoon, the third that Disney made, and in its sequel, even good beings are depicted as creatures connected with mythology (which is, in fact, demonology) such as satyrs, aka centaurs or fauns, a half-human half-goat creature which is actually a representation of the ‘god’ Pan, who is actually the devil. As usual, there is no mention whatsoever of God the Creator.

Reporter Lara Logan Files $25M Defamation Lawsuit Against New York Media and Writer Joe Hagan Over New York Magazine Hit Piece

Former “60 Minutes” correspondent Lara Logan has filed a massive $25 million lawsuit against New York Media and writer Joe Hagan over a 2014 hit piece that ran in New York Magazine titled “Benghazi and the Bombshell.”

Hagan’s article was about Logan’s 60 Minutes report on the attack on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which left four Americans dead including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.

“The headline reference to ‘Bombshell’ was both sexist, insulting and defamatory at the same time,” Logan’s lawsuit states, according to a report from The Hill.

Though Logan’s report was later retracted, she maintains that Hagan’s attack was misleading. The reason for the retraction was an interview with British security contractor Dylan Davies, who has provided a misleading account of the incident in multiple venues. His book, which was released by Simon & Schuster was also recalled.

Logan apologized for the interview with Davies, which she referred to as a “mistake”, but maintains the essential parts of her report were accurate and true.

“The word was intended to portray Logan as a dangerous and untouchable and incendiary reporter,” the lawsuit asserts.

In one example of how Hagan misrepresented Logan, he referred to her being gang raped in Egypt as being “groped.”

‘Like a Freight Train’: 9 Out of 10 Virginia Counties Declare Themselves 2nd Amendment Sanctuaries

Stephen Gutowski - December 20, 2019 10:00 AM

The grassroots push for Virginia counties to say they won't enforce gun bans even if passed by the state legislature is spreading "like a freight train," with nearly 9 out of 10 counties in the state declaring themselves "Second Amendment sanctuaries" and thousands of people expected to show up for a pro-gun rally in the state capital next month.

"It's been like a freight train," said Philip Van Cleave, whose Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) has helped organize the sanctuary movement. "It started moving and it's moving under its own weight at this point. It's amazing."

Van Cleave said the group is doing everything it can to leverage the energy of the "Second Amendment sanctuary" movement which has swept across the state at breakneck speed the past few weeks. As of Friday, 85 counties, 9 cities, and 17 towns had formally declared themselves sanctuaries, according to the gun-rights group.

If even a fraction of the tens of thousands of people who showed up to county board meetings show up at VCDL's Jan. 20 lobby day rally in Richmond, Van Cleave said it will be the biggest event the group has ever held. He is hopeful that bringing the state's gun-rights supporters, who have shown up in droves for meetings across the state, to the statehouse will send a message to the newly elected Democratic majority and dampen remaining enthusiasm for new gun-control legislation.

Van Cleave said he thinks some lawmakers have underestimated the sanctuary movement.

‘Absolutely unaware’ Assange testifies in trial of Spanish company that spied on WikiLeaks founder inside embassy

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange briefly stepped out of maximum security prison in the UK to testify via video-link in a Spanish case against a company that spied on him inside the Ecuadorian embassy, allegedly on the US’ behalf.

Assange, who is being held at Belmarsh prison in southern London pending his hearing on extradition to the US, was driven over to the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, where a video-link was set up for him to speak with a judge in Madrid. The proceedings were closed to the press on the grounds of “national security.”

The High Court in Madrid is hearing Assange’s case against Undercover Global Ltd, a Spanish security company that allegedly bugged him during his stay at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Undercover Global was contracted to provide embassy security between 2015 and 2018, and in that capacity secretly recorded Assange’s every move via hidden cameras, microphones and electronic surveillance, the lawsuit says.

Assange told the court “he was absolutely unaware that the cameras recorded audio, that hidden microphones had been introduced” into the fire extinguisher mounts inside the embassy, his attorney Aitor Martinez told reporters in Madrid after the testimony.

Assange was “an absolutely passive subject of an illegitimate interference that would have been eventually coordinated by the United States,” Martinez added.

License to kill: MI5 agents can commit serious crimes like murder and torture, tribunal rules

A UK tribunal has ruled that British secret agents can lawfully commit grave criminal offenses including murder, kidnap, and torture in the course of intelligence gathering.

Representing the British government, Sir James Eadie QC said it would be “impossible” for agents to maintain cover if they were not allowed to do so.

The Investigatory Powers Tribunal (IPT) ruled 3-2 in favor of the government, saying that MI5’s guidelines do not breach human rights and that the agency has an “implied power” under the Security Service Act 1989 to authorise crimes.

The case was brought against the Security Service by four human rights organisations – Privacy International, Reprieve, the Committee on the Administration of Justice, and the Pat Finucane Centre.

The groups had asked the IPT to declare the policy illegal and grant an injunction “restraining further unlawful conduct.”

While the tribunal ruled in favor of the government, it added that its 56-page judgement does not mean MI5 has “any power to confer immunity from liability under either the criminal law or the civil law.” In other words, the ruling does not grant those who commit serious crimes immunity from prosecution. The official authorization of crimes acts as the service's “explanation and justification of its decision should the criminal activity of the agent come under scrutiny by an external body, e.g. the police or prosecuting authorities.”

In the majority opinion, Lord Justice Singh said that preventing agents from committing crimes “would strike at the core activities of the Security Service.”

The case marked the first time the IPT, which hears complaints about the intelligence services, has ever published dissenting opinions. In his dissenting judgement, Professor Graham Zellick QC said that accepting the government's arguments “would open the door to the lawful exercise of other powers of which we have no notice or notion, creating uncertainty and a potential for abuse.”

Former NSA Director Cooperating With Durham Probe Of Russia Investigation: Report

Retired Adm. Michael Rogers, the former director of the National Security Agency, is cooperating with U.S. attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe, according to a new report.

The Intercept, citing four sources familiar with the matter, reports that Rogers has met voluntarily with Durham multiple times.

“He’s been very cooperative,” a former intelligence official familiar with the meetings told The Intercept.

The development comes after The New York Times reported Thursday that Durham, the U.S. Attorney for Connecticut, has asked the CIA for emails, call logs and other correspondence from John Brennan, the former CIA director.
