White Squall and Cuban Missile Crisis

Just on the surface connection, the Albatross sank in May of 1962, there were 18 on board, only13 survivors, the captain's wife, Alice, went down with the ship. The Cuban Missile crisis was 13 days, and due to backchannel communications with the Soviets ended peacefully. That backchannel communication led to installation of the "hotline" between US and Soviet Union.
