That's shocking, but he suggested to Seinfeld he intended to eventually, come back to comedy, not necessarily SNL.
I'm not sure he's part of the plan, but he does draw the line in the sand with Jerry in Comedians in cars when he said his mentor, some famous guy I can't remember who, brought up satanism, and Eddie said that shit wasn't for him. Jerry had some awkward laughs. Jerry has joked about eating human flesh when he had Obama on I think.
