A 19-year-old man from St. Paul is dead, one of at least seven people shot early Sunday at a Spring Lake Park restaurant, the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office said early Sunday.
No one was in custody, but “there was no ongoing danger to the public,” Cmdr. Wayne Heath said in a statement.
Authorities were called just after midnight to Dala Thai Restaurant and Banquet Hall, near 85th and Central avenues NE., on a report that multiple people were shot in the parking lot.
Three people were taken to HCMC in Minneapolis and two to North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale. One other victim was found at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood. The conditions of the injured were not known, and further information about them was not given.
Online advertising said the Dala Thai Event Center was the venue for Bigg Monster’s Ugly Sweater Party, an 18-plus ages event.
