The D's? No, the CIA at that time was awash in funds from it's establishment until the 70's, due to the cold war, and the perceived need to have a US counter to the seemingly highly motivated, organized and effective KGB and its Eastern European cousins.
However, what the CIA soon discovered, was that agencies like the KGB and the Stazi had little competence outside of their home states. While the CIA wasn't a very good spy agency, they were not outclassed by the Soviets. They were outclassed only by the British, particularly MI6, and the British goal was to deceive the CIA and the US gov't regarding the Soviet threat.
The CIA, thus became far more interested in mimicing the INTERNAL controls these agencies had. That's the real problem.
The Dems have only recently become interested in using the CIA because of Obama/Clinton. Their base has generally despised the CIA.
Just take care as to where.

I don't believe any religion that has survived millenia is inherently evil (contained within the doctrines of faith). OTOH it is horribly difficult for non-Jews to actually READ the talmud. And if a goy did so, and reported his reading 100% faithfully, a gorrillion Rabbi's from a gorillion temples would REEEEEEEE that the goy got it wrong.
As to Kushner, he's gangster/Jewish mafia. Their religious faith is similar to La Cosa Nostra and Catholicism. It's historically, culturally, and emotionally significant for the organizations ops.

I rather suspect that the naval forces training are Coastal Interdiction and patrol vessles, like a cut rate rag tag US coast guard, primarily concerned with smuggling. They certainly aren't war gaming an attack on a US/NATO fleet group, or coastal bombardment.
