FNC’s Wallace Accuses Trump of Pushing ‘Kremlin Disinformation’ for Calls to Investigate Ukraine Election Interference

On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace asked Vice President Pence’s chief of staff Marc Short asked why President Donald Trump wanted to investigate Ukraine interference in the 2016 election, which he claimed was Kremlin disinformation.

Wallace said, “Does President Trump still believe that it was Ukraine, not Russia, that interfered in the 2016 election.”

Short said, “It doesn’t have to be an either-or. It can be both.”

Wallace asked again, “Forget the question of Russia. Does the president believe that Ukraine interfered in the 2016 election?”

Short said, “He thinks we should at least investigate it, Chris …When Russia interfered in our election, Barack Obama was president, and Joe Biden was vice president and Joe Biden himself said he was in charge of Ukraine policy, and his son is getting between $50,000 and $80,000 a month to serve on a board where he has no experience whatsoever. So his question is, why shouldn’t we investigate it? It seemed like we could never get enough investigation of foreign interference in our elections for three years, but as soon as the president asks for it, it’s like, ‘Hey, we must impeach him.’”

Wallace said, “Well, that’s not why it happened, as you know. There was a phone call and the question of the conditionality of a White House visit and giving them military aid. It was on that basis he was asking for the investigation.”

He added, “Every major U.S. intelligence agency says it was Russia that interfered in the election. During a House Intel Committee hearings, a member of the Trump National Security council Fiona Hill said this idea that Ukraine interfered in the election is Kremlin disinformation, so why does the president think it’s still worth investigating whether Ukraine did something?”

Short said, “Why don’t we try to find the bottom line and the answers. We are not questioning Russia’s interference. I’m excepting that, but it doesn’t mean that just because Russia interfered doesn’t mean others didn’t as well.”

Wallace said, “They are saying and Fiona Hill that the whole question of Ukraine is Russian disinformation and in fact according to reporting, you may say it was inaccurate, Putin supposedly in a meeting they had in Germany told the president that it was Ukraine. And he apparently said to some people in the administration, ‘Putin told me at Ukraine.'”

Short responded, “I never heard that. I believe that there can be —just because you’re saying my house was robbed means your house couldn’t have been robbed. It’s quite possible that both were interfering in elections, so why not investigate that?”

World Bank Warns "Wave Of Debt" Could Unleash Historic Crisis, Crush The Global Economy

Something happens to the world's "really smart people" when the topic of debt is discussed: they become blabbering idiots.

Consider that last month we reported that according to the Institute of International Finance, global debt has now hit $250 trillion and is expected to rise to a record $255 trillion at the end of 2019, up $12 trillion from $243 trillion at the end of 2018, and nearly $32,500 for each of the 7.7 billion people on planet. "With few signs of slowdown in the pace of debt accumulation, we estimate that global debt will surpass $255 trillion this year," the IIF said in the report.

Dem Sen. Says Pelosi ‘Doing the Right Thing’ by Withholding Articles and Dictating Impeachment Rules to Senate (VIDEO)

Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen (MD) said Sunday on “Face the Nation” that Speaker Pelosi is ‘doing the right thing’ by withholding articles of impeachment and dictating to the Senate how to conduct the trial.

“Speaker Pelosi is doing exactly the right thing. She is focusing a spotlight on the need to have fair trial in the United States Senate,” Van Hollen said.

The Democrats voted on party line to impeach president Trump on two separate articles of impeachment without naming any crimes.

Speaker Pelosi refused to deliver the articles of impeachment to the Senate unless they bow to her demands.

“We cannot name managers until we see what the process is on the Senate side,” Pelosi told reporters after the party-line vote in the House. “And I would hope that that will be soon. … So far we haven’t seen anything that looks fair to us. So hopefully it will be fair. And when we see what that is, we’ll send our managers.”

Pelosi is a tyrant who believes she is in charge of the Senate.

The Constitution is absolutely clear about the Senate’s authority. Article I, Section 3 says: “The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments,” Breitbart’s Joel Pollak wrote.

Cory Booker: Pelosi Is Trying to Ensure Impeachment Is Not a ‘Partisan Circus’

On Sunday’s broadcast of NBC’s “Meet the Press,” 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was holding off sending the articles of impeachment to the Senate to avoid a “partisan circus.”

Booker said, “I think we all swear an oath, and we will swear a very special oath. We will literally swear to this idea of impartiality. I heard from my Democratic colleagues, folks tell me this is not a good thing for America. I don’t think the colleagues that I know that are my friends on both sides of the aisle think this is a good thing. None of us are happy about this. As a guy, a big competitor, I want to beat Donald Trump mano a mano. I want to face him down on the debate floor. So this is not something I want to do. Yeah, I will evaluate the facts objectively and honor the oath that I swore, even though I think Donald Trump has violated his oath of office.”

He continued, “Nancy Pelosi, I’ve watched over this past year or so, she has been a lightworker in dark times balancing the most difficult circumstance for the third time in history the United States president has been impeached. Those articles will come over. I talked to Chuck Schumer this week. We all know they will. I think what she is trying to do is make the best possible case for a fair trial happens.”

He added, “Of this, this all happens in the context that Mitch McConnell is openly saying he will violate his oath and not be impartial that we have a situation here, to me is very simple, you have a trial, have the first-hand witnesses. If you are innocent, have Acting Chief of Staff Mulvaney come before the Senate, swear to an oath and settle this whole thing. I think she’s trying to say let’s not make this a circus, a partisan circus. Let’s get

Top Jewish body wants more power for religious hospitals, aged care homes in discrimination bill

The country's top Jewish body has warned draft religious freedom laws could restrict the power of religious hospitals, aged care facilities and housing providers to give preference to people of their own faith when admitting patients or choosing board members.

In the latest call for the laws to give more power to religious bodies, the Executive Council of Australian Jewry's head, Peter Wertheim, said hospitals, aged care homes and accommodation providers should maintain the same rights as schools to decide exactly who can benefit from their services.

This stands in contrast to comments from the federal Attorney-General Christian Porter, who last month said that in reality religious hospitals and aged care homes "do not appear" to discriminate in service delivery and did not want to.

The second draft of the contentious bill gave religious health facilities the same power as religious schools to discriminate on the basis of religion when it comes to choosing staff. But Mr Wertheim said this should be extended to choosing board members, as well as service delivery to patients and clients.

Kalanick has sold $2.5 billion in Uber stock since the lockup period expired on November 6, six weeks ago

Once the lockup expired, it allowed executives and members of Uber's board of directors their first chance to sell shares

If Kalanick continues to sell at the current rate, by the end of this week he may no longer own any shares in the struggling company he helped start

Uber stock, which traded at more than $41 went the company went public in May and peaked at $46.38 on June 28, was trading around $30 on Thursday

Travis Kalanick, co-founder and former CEO of the ride-sharing startup Uber, has sold about 90 per cent of his shares in the company in six weeks since a lockup period on the firm's executives expired.

That translates into roughly $2.5 billion in stock sales for Kalanick, who could end up not owning any more stock in Uber by the end of the week if he continues his selling streak at the current rate, reports Forbes.

Kalanick began unloading the stock after the lockup expired on November 6, which allowed executives and members of Uber's board of directors their first chance to sell.

Stocks in Uber, which traded at $41.57 when the company went public on May 10, and which peaked at more than $46 in June, have not done well since.

Map Update: Syrian Army’s Advance In Southern Idlib On December 22, 2019

The Syrian Army is developing its rapid advance in southern Idlib. On December 22, government forces liberated over 10 villages in the region from radical militant groups.

Suspected “Ninja Bomb” Strike Eliminates Senior Horas Al-Din Commander In Southern Idlib (Photos)

A suspected U.S. drone strike has reportedly claimed the life of a prominent commander of al-Qaeda-affiliated Horas al-Din known as Abu Khadija al-Urduniyi.

A pinpoint strike targeted the commander’s car as it was passing on a road between the towns of Termanin and and Dana in the southern countryside of Syria’s Idlib. Opposition activists said that the airstrike was carried out by a U.S. combat drone.

Photos of the strike site show no signs of explosion. This indicates the U.S.-made AGM-114R9X Hellfire missile was likely used.

The AGM-114R9X, dubbed “Ninja Bomb,” is a Hellfire variant with a kinetic warhead with pop-out blades, intended to reduce collateral damage. Deployed in secret since 2017, with existence revealed in 2019.

Abu Khadija al-Urduniyi, whose real name is Bilal Awad Abdul-Razzaq Khreisat, is a Jordanian national and a veteran of al-Qaeda. The infamous terrorist joined the al-Nusra Front in Syria in its early days.

When the terrorist group changed its name to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), al-Urduniyi was serving as one of its senior Sharia judges in Damascus’ Eastern Ghouta. Last year, the terrorist defected from the group, forming Horas al-Din along with other foreign terrorists.

Horas al-Din has not confirmed the death of al-Urduniyi, so far. This leaves the door open for the possibility that the he was not the target of the drone strike.

This was the third “Ninja Bomb” strike on northern Syria this month. Few weeks ago an Algerian terrorist working as a trainer for HTS’ special forces was killed with the weapon in northwest Idlib. Later, the weapon was used to eliminate a commander of Ahrar al-Sham collaborating with ISIS.

The new drone strike came amid a large-scale operation of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against terrorist groups in the southeastern Idlib countryside.

In the last two years, Idlib became a hub for terrorist groups in the Middle East. Earlier this year Abu Baker al-Baghdadi, ISIS leader and founder, was eliminated by U.S. Special Forces in the northwestern part of the region.
