The Dems want an impeachment trial so they can take up time in the Senate and have something negative against POTUS to take over the news cycle with.
Lindsay wants the Senate to investigate the FISA signers and others involved, so the 'value' of holding the articles will be so they can pass them right at the exact time the FISA abuse investigation is going on, in order to take over the news cycle and prevent the people from knowing the truth.
