Graham mentions he wants to get fact witnesses that were excluded from the house probe to testify… especially the whistleblower, Hunter and more.

 

What 'value' does it hold is a difficult question to answer.

 

Regarding timing, we know that POTUS has mentioned that he doesn't mind a long or short trial.

 

I don't think the senate needs to bring the witnesses to justice, Barr and Durham will do so… hence it will be a short trial.

 

They lose either way.

Holding it because acquittal will be counterproductive, exoneration will help the Ukraine investigation and the 2020 election of POTUS hence they want to keep at a 'conditional impeachment.?

If the House opted for “conditional impeachment,” and the Senate did adopt a satisfactory censure resolution, then the articles of impeachment would never be delivered to the Senate, and there would be no Senate trial and no verdict of acquittal or conviction.
