The fundraiser was for “NDRC.” which is a super PAC aimed at positioning Democrats favorably in the round of redistricting after the 2020 census.
Before leaving the White House, Obama said that “redistricting efforts” would be his top priority.
Earlier this year, Obama’s political advocacy group, Organizing for Action, merged into Holder’s group and launched a campaign called “All On The Line” aimed at promoting redistricting reform.
They’ve even created “Redistricting U,” which trains activists in redistricting efforts and creating new “fair maps” leaders.
