hey FJ I think I've found the work around for the Board announcement bar
see
you'll find the links in the announcement bar work
the whole thing is slightly buggy, it's not straightforward
if you put your html and then hit enter the system changes it
so, do not hit enter, just copy html into box and save changes
changes will show up with new threads
doesn't show up on older threads
check the first couple of tests that were done at /comms/
