The problem with taking the pyramid down by getting rid of the bottom of it is that the top can see it coming and, before losing any significant level of control and power, take steps to counter it.
The problem with tackling the top first is that we don't know who they are. Satan – the personification of evil by a thousand different names – is beyond our reach and protects his own (until it is convenient to destroy them himself). Only Deos (by a thousand names, too) can touch him.
Jehovah's Witnesses have a reasonable explanation for why God has not yet done this but I think there might be another reason – that God is waiting for MEN to reject Satan and to destroy those who do not.
Don't know where I'm going with this … but it's very frustrating seeing NO charges brought against ANY of the public faces of corruption EXCEPT –OUR– allies.
