So, this happened. Pic related I laughed, hysterically.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The ex-husband of the woman who had an affair with Gov. Eric Greitens is seeking an order of protection from him.

The motion was filed on Thursday and does not allege any threats from Greitens, but says that the man feels intimidated in part because Greitens is a retired Navy SEAL officer.

I should also note that the media is now reporting as a fact that the affair happened, when we aren't entirely sure what in the world went on.

I think many of us are viewing the Trump admin wrong. The contracted welders come in to weld, not necessarily opine on what they are welding or where it is being placed. The brick layers are brought in to lay the brick bought for the job, the electricians to run and certify the conduit per the design, etc.

These people are not being brought in to 'advise' on what to do. They are being brought in to fill specific functions and are rotated out as their assignments are completed and the need for new ones arises.

The media has no idea how to interpret this as they can only see it through the lens of prior administrations set up to be club houses and special interest operations. Not that they would want to interpret it in a way that makes POTUS look sensible, even if they understood.

Either you believe there is a plan at play put in place by a team, or you do not.

If you do not - then nothing going on right now makes any sense.

If you do, then it is rather silly to think these appointments to these positions are in order to seek advice on what to do.

What would I bring an 'adviser' as part of a 'show' in to do?

Smart strategists are able to make effective use of their allies. Genius strategists are able to make effective use of their opponents.

There is no difference.

The rules of the game are absolute. If the only move open to save the king is to move into a pre-defined position or capture an allied piece - who actually handles the piece is irrelevant to what must transpire.

This is where we get hung up. We like to group people into friend and foe. Then we like to get irritated and tense when we are surrounded by foes. We get irritated by the bishop behind our lines even though it can't do anything and is actually a bad position for the opponent.

Maybe this guy is good. Maybe he is bad. Maybe he just is and will do exactly as he is projected to do, and that is why he is there.

Better for him if he is not evil or so sullied by crimes that justice would destroy him… But you don't win by letting the irrelevant details get under your skin. You win by maneuvering the whole board into a scenario where the opponent has no winning sequence.

Deep blue didn't care if it lost the queen if it meant the beginning of an irrecoverable move sequence where the opponent lost. Not saying we are playing a war of attrition - but that to this type of game, the color of the pieces just determines movement order and placement options.
