I would remind you that it was the Catholic Church who also declared War on the “Pagans” in order to consolidate land, resources, and wealth. The word “pagan” at the time of Christ’s birth simply meant “country folk” or those “pegged” to their land.

Thus, rejecting Christmas as merely a “pagan” holiday does nothing to honor the birth of Christ and his good teachings to this world.
