What if Malta was on the main shipping route to Atlantis, the capital city of the Mediterranean empire before the Younger Dryas period began 14,000 years ago with the Clovis meteor strikes? In that location, ancient megaliths would survive better than near Atlantis.

Look at the location and the form/size of the Richat structure which corresponds to Plato's account of Atlantis. Plato tells us that Atlantis was destroyed by the sea in a single night. That is called Tsunami. In the 2nd image you can see the traces of the gigantic tsunami that swept in from the ocean 400 km to the west.

Now follow those lines, and you will see that if that part of Africa was about 1500 meters lower, 14 millenia ago, then Atlantis would have been on an island, like Plato says, and there would have been a sea route straight to Malta. Major seismic events can and do cause crustal movement, like that earthquake in Japan. And the Clovis strike was several impacts that drastically changed world climate for centuries.

We know that at this time period, the Sahara was a green and fertile region with wild animals being hunted and people doing rock paintings of this stuff. Ancient Egypt claims to be a distant eastern outpost of Atlantis, in other words, Egyptian culture and myth originated in what is now the Sahara.

And please don't post about the SMOM as if they are the same as the country Malta. SMOM left Malta in 1798 and set up operations in Rome. There is plenty to be suspicious about in SMOM but it is more connected to the Vatican than to the country of Malta.

Here's a lovely account of the African Humid period when the Sahara was a humid fertile land. As a bonus, it points out that climate change comes from non-human actions, in this case a wobble of the orbit. I wonder what effect the Clovis meteor strikes had on the orbit.
