Brits have dug themselves a hole on free speech being taken away[they think it is best]. Free speech taken away because you can’t be trusted with it by [them].
You had some free speech before in your history. Why can’t (you) have it now? What change took place that [they] decided it was now necessary to remove it?
I just think it telling that as other nations were struggling against oppressive regimes, the Brits took a step backwards from the freedoms of what was a 1st World country during a tune of what a free society, if you ever had one, should be so advanced in society that the freedoms of mankind would be in their finishing touches of maturity. Is this your mature stage UK? Why are [they] stepping away from (you)?
