Only with our current way/ability to measure said variables.

Because we are bound by time, the only way to measure something like gravity or velocity is 'over time'.

If we found another property to describe velocity, that isn't bound by time it could work.

But since the only way we observe velocity is 'movement over time' it is the only way we can measure it.

btw. Thanks to the anons who helped me with my argument with my Dad a couple of breads ago.

Unfortunately I didn't get to use it because he stopped the argument by stating:

"Yeah, but it's just 'from the internet'"

I countered that so when you read a newspaper it's just 'from the newspaper'?"

He refused to see my point, and kept telling me that sourced information gathered on the internet was somehow less credible…

…anyways… me rambling.
