What is “Son of Man?”

It’s a phrase in the Bible that refers to Jesus. But, if we are “man,” then son of man would literally be our male offspring. Figuratively it would be our descendants.

What is the “Return of the Son of Man?”

Biblically it means the return of Jesus and the End of Times. Literally, it would mean the return of our descendants.

But how could our descendants return before they are even born?

They would have to travel through time.

But, if they had the capability to travel through time, why would they stop here?

Maybe they don’t. Maybe they stop in many eras. Maybe the idea of the Return simply means we become aware of it and the idea of End of Times means that once we become aware of it, we enter a new paradigm.

Scenario:

Marty goes back in time in the DeLorean with a sports magazine. He can now place bets and win. At first the bookie thinks he’s just lucky. But what happens when the bookie finds out he’s a time traveler? The bookie cries foul. “Hey that’s not fair.” Now multiply Marty by thousands and we’ve got a real crisis on our hands. All these people can take severe advantage of us in many ways, not just financially.
