Im sure the FISC was comped— either didn’t question the information, was given bad information, or pushed off decisions to staff in order to insulate against bad decisions.
Either way, the FISC is still an important tool for the IC.
As an anon, I believe that FISC was acting on only the information (presented as vetted and accurate) by the FBI.
