Pakistani Authorities Raid ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s Party Office Amid Judge’s Video Scandal

New Delhi (Sputnik): The Imran Khan government recently appointed Wazid Zia as the new chief of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Zia was one of the main witnesses against Nawaz Sharif and his family members in the Panama Papers case. The opposition PML(N) has accused Khan of bringing Zia to the FIA to act against the family in false cases.

Pakistan’s top investigative body - the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) - on Thursday raided the head office of the country’s main opposition party the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) or, PML(N), in Lahore.

Dozens of officers of the investigative body participated in the raid at the PML-N’s secretariat located in Model Town of Lahore.

The raid comes days after the FIA summoned the party’s three main leaders in a video scandal related to accountability court Judge Arshad Malik, who convicted former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Al-Azizia Mills corruption case.

Baltimore Could Set Record For Homicide Rate This Year

Baltimore is headed towards achieving the unenviable record of having its highest ever per-capita homicide rate.

With murders continuing right through the holiday season, the city has recorded 338 homicides as of Tuesday, the Associated Press reported.

The city has already surpassed 2018’s 309 murders and is approaching the 342 killings that occurred in both 2017 and 2015, AP noted.

The Washington Post hacked into a Chevy Volt several days ago with the help of a automotive technology expert to find out just how much automakers are spying on their owners and discovered that vehicles are recording their owners’ every move.

The Post used a 2017 Chevy Volt for its experiment and learned that the car collected a wide range of highly precise data ranging from the vehicles location to information about the driver’s cell phone, including call records — noting that many vehicles copy over personal data the moment that a smart phone is plugged into the vehicle.

The Post noted that the Chevy Volt did not inform drivers what information it was recording and did not make mention of it in the owner’s manual since there are no federal regulations protecting consumer’s privacy and data from automakers.

Police Wasted £1.5 Million on Electric Cars That Can’t Chase Criminals

Police forces in the United Kingdom have squandered over a million pounds on electric cars that are incapable of chasing criminals or performing emergency services because the eco-friendly vehicles are too slow and take too long to charge.

A freedom of information request found that police in the UK have spent £1.49 million on 448 green cars and vans. However, the actual cost of the eco-police fleets is likely much higher as many districts have not reported their purchases.

The official police reports admit that the battery-powered cars are incapable of fulfilling police duties such as chasing criminals or handling emergency response situations and often run out of power before a shift ends.

The vehicles are used almost exclusively in non-emergency situations or to drive police chiefs to work, reports the Daily Mail.

The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) has bought dozens of electric cars. However, the force admitted in an internal report that: “The market has not yet sufficiently matured to offer alternatively fuelled vehicles capable of meeting the MPS requirements for the role of pursuit cars.”

Scotland Yard, which plans to have an entirely “green” fleet by the year 2050, has bought 134 green vehicles in large part to comply with the £12.50 daily Ultra Low Emission Zone charge imposed by Mayor Sadiq Khan.

A masked man with a gun repeatedly pistol-whips a clerk while rifling the register for money in a store security video shot Sunday night in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

Then the clerk, bleeding from a scalp wound, reaches into a drawer and snatches out a pistol, the video shows.

The two men struggle, with the robber pointing his pistol at the clerk’s head, before the gunman bolts from the convenience store, accompanied by a masked accomplice, the video shows.

At some point during the fight, however, the clerk shot the first robber, who collapsed and died a block from Kam’s Market in Bay Point, said store owner Kamal Sandhu, KTVU reported.

Iran Again Blocks Internet & Mobile Service Ahead Of Protesters' Funerals

Fearing the potential for renewed protests and violent clashes with police, Iran has again blocked internet and mobile access to broad section of the country on Wednesday.

This as several funerals will be held over the coming days for protesters killed last month amid a severe government crackdown, which also witness an unprecedented nationwide internet blockage which lasted for a week or more in some provinces.

Citing Iranian state media, Bloomberg reports, "The mourning services are scheduled to begin on Thursday. The independent Shargh newspaper said five unidentified provinces will be subject to the blackout, while ILNA said internet users in those areas will have access to a limited number of state-approved Iran websites and applications."

Government authorities are reportedly acting in response to relatives of some among the killed who have posted to social media calling for renewed protests to be held on Thursday in conjunction with ceremonies commemorating the victims (various estimates put those killed from the November protests ranging from 200 to over 300, with the US State Dept. claiming multiple times that number).

The US as well as various human rights organizations have accused Tehran authorities of quelling protests — initially sparked by a huge gas price hike when subsidies were slashed — with live ammunition and other brutal tactics.

Thus it appears the government is making a move to prevent large-scale protests before they gain momentum. Despite a 100% vaccination rate, a Texas school closes early for winter break due to a whooping cough outbreak. Clearly the vaccine is failing to work as advertised.

If ever there was convincing proof that vaccination does not equate to bona fide immunity, it is at St. Theresa Catholic School in Texas…

Reported by FoxNews.com on Dec. 19th, the school experienced an outbreak of whooping cough, causing them to close their doors and start their winter break early.

On Dec. 4th, St. Theresa Catholic School in Memorial Park, reported its first case to the Texas Department of State Health Services. Since then, the outbreak has continued to escalate — and not because of the abuse of religious and medical exemptions, and so-called “anti-vaxxer” parents.

According to the FoxNews report, the school vaccine uptake rate was at 100%:

“Officials with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston said that 100 percent of students who attend St. Theresa Catholic School are vaccinated against the illness.”

This was confirmed by the following statement to parents sent by the school:

n response to this incident, Children’s Health Defense (CHD) posted an article titled, “Pertussis: Vaccine Failure, Not Failure to Vaccinate,” explaining how despite propaganda to the contrary, it is clearly not conscientious objectors to vaccination driving outbreaks like these (i.e. so-called “anti-vaxxers”), but a failing pertussis vaccine.

In fact, according to CHD’s article the vaccine itself may be driving increased risk for whooping cough:

“Studies show that by five years after completion of the DTaP series, children were up to 15 times more likely to acquire pertussis compared to the first year after the series.”
