US Aircraft Carrier Launching Gears Meant For Saudi Arabia Mysteriously Found In India

Two military-grade aircraft launching gears meant for ‘Royal Saudi Land Forces’ have illegally landed at a private port in Kutch district of Gujarat through Pakistan, sending security forces into a tizzy.

The load — ‘military grade’ aircraft launching gears — were, intriguingly, not declared on two containers in which they were stuffed and packed aboard Kyoto Express ship at a New York port on November 8.

The containers were shown as ’empty’. But when customs officers at Mundra port opened them on Friday, they found aircraft launching gears – essentially used in aircraft carriers to assist takeoff of jets from the deck. Security sources said the military-grade aircraft launching gears found at the Mundra port are manufactured by only two corporate giants, Boeing (based in the US) and Airbus (headquartered in Europe).

That there is something fishy about containers was first detected by a surveyor of the shipping line when it was moved to the yard, customs department sources told ET on conditions of anonymity.

What has raised eyebrows in the customs and other security agencies such as the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) is why the two containers were not offloaded like some others after berthing the Kyoto Express – a carrier owned by Hapag-Lloyd Aktiengesellschaft, Hamburg in Germany – at Jeddah port?

“Officials could not figure out what it was from the literature and other papers lay in the containers after both were opened,” said a senior officer aware of the development.

“Subsequently, shipping line was asked to get bill of lading from its main office in New York.” During the initial probe, custom officials realised that the bill of lading procured from shipper DHL Global Forwarding of United States clearly stated that the consignee is ‘Royal Saudi Land Forces’ and the gears were to reach: ‘Prince Sultan Road, HWY 156 Jizan Saudi Arabia’.

But, in the import general manifest (IGM), which the shipping line files with the customs department, these two containers were declared “empty”.

The vessel departed from New York and sailed through three to five ports, including Karachi, before dropping 300 odd empty containers, including the two suspicious ones, at Mundra port on Friday night.

An inquiry pointed out that Hapag-Lloyd official website showed the containers were unloaded at Mundra at 22.22 pm on December 20. The consignment was meant for the Royal Saudi Land Forces. The Saudis, however, do not have an aircraft carrier in their fleet. Diplomats at Saudi Arabia embassy here were not available for comments.

Embassy row: Mexico to appeal to International Court of Justice over Bolivia’s coup govt ‘harassing’ its diplomats in La Paz

Mexico has vowed to take Bolivia to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over its “harassment” of the country’s diplomats. The spat follows Mexico’s decision to grant asylum to the ousted Bolivian President Evo Morales.

The intent to appeal to the ICJ was announced by the country’s Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard during his regular news conference on Thursday. Mexico is appealing to The Hague-based court to ensure that its diplomatic facilities in Bolivia are “respected” and the “police and military siege” on them is brought to an end.

The international community is likely to rally behind Mexico, Ebrard warned, likening the stance and the attitude of what he called the “de facto” government in Bolivia to the military-led juntas in many Latin American countries in the 1970s and 80s.

The minister’s statement caused some confusion, as he’d originally said the country was seeking the help of the International Criminal Court (ICC) – which would effectively amount to accusing the Bolivian coup government of committing crimes against its diplomats. It turned out, however, that the minister misspoke and actually had the ICJ in mind – the institution designed to settle legal disputes between independent states.

Responding to Ebrard’s statements, Bolivia rejected the allegations and insisted that it “respects” the Geneva Convention and would never enter diplomatic compounds without permission.

Mexico accused Bolivia of “harassing” its diplomatic facilities on Monday, as its staff complained about a constant police presence around the property – even reporting sightings of surveillance drones.

Relations between the two countries remain strained following the right-wing coup that ousted Bolivian president Evo Morales last November.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador granted political asylum to the former Bolivian president – a fellow leftist – who vowed to continue his fight against the coup, even in exile. In December, Morales was also granted asylum in Argentina.

Hunter Biden’s Arkansas baby mama has cast him as a dead beat dad in their high profile paternity suit, demanding sole custody of their child, as the businessman is linked in court papers to ‘multiple criminal probes involving fraud, money laundering and a counterfeiting scheme.

Lunden Roberts demanded custody of their 16-month-old child, claiming Biden wouldn’t even be able to ‘identify the child out of a photo lineup’, according to court papers filed in Independence County, on Monday evening.

The 28-year-old said Biden is a ‘stranger’ to their toddler, as she also filed a motion seeking the court to find Biden in contempt for not handing over his relevant financial records for the past five years.

Casey also claims that Biden and John Kerry’s stepson Christopher Heinz are involved in a $150 million counterfeiting scheme in Ukraine.

But the judge in the case took just six and a half hours to toss the claims out, saying they had not been filed properly.

Biden’s lawyer Brent Langdon called Casey’s attempt to get involved ‘a scheme by a non-party simply to make scandalous allegations in the pending suit to gain some quick media attention,’ and asked for it to be stricken from the record. He asked Judge McSpadden to award Biden costs against Casey.

So I was speaking to one of the county, I have eight counties in my district, and I was speaking to one of the county chairs and as I spoke to that chair, he said, I just want to tell you something that you absolutely are going to vote for impeachment and I said no, I’m not, I think that this is a very weak impeachment. I think it’s wasted millions of dollars, hours of time, has not been productive, has split the country apart, has caused a fractioning of the country and literally has caused civil unrest in a sense and he said well I’m telling you if you want to run in this county, you’re gonna have to vote for it, you’re gonna have to obey and the bottom line was that was the final point. There were all of these other issues and I could tell you what some of the other issues were where I believed differently but I kind of went along, but that issue really, the fact that, you almost talked quid pro quo so because I’m gonna vote in a way I don’t want to vote you’re gonna force me and then allow me to run. That’s not what America is about, that’s not what our election system should be about.”

KILMEADE: “Have you faced anger from Democrats who said I put you there as a Democrat how dare you?”

VAN DREW: “A little bit. Actually, a lot less than I thought I would. I’ve had such a good reaction and so much support and welcoming by Republicans and I didn’t know what would happen with Democrats but so many Democrats that we meet say Jeff, you know, we like you as from whatever, in any way that you run, because we know that you’re independent and we know that you believe in what you say and you do what you believe, so I think that it hasn’t been nearly as bad as they thought it might have been, but it’s a big step. A lot of people come up to me and say boy, you know, it took a lot of I guess fortitude is a nice way to say it to go forward and do this, and I believe strongly in what I did. I hope to really work well with my Republican colleagues. I want to achieve greatness, I want to help the president. I think we can have a wonderful year in 2020.”

Army liberates a number of villages in Idleb countryside after fierce battles with terrorists

Idleb, SANA- Syrian Arab Army units have intensified operations against terrorist organizations in Idleb southeastern countryside as they liberated the villages and farms of Halban, Samaka, Tal Khatra and Khirbet Nawwaf after inflicting heavy losses upon terrorists in the personnel and equipment.

SANA’s reporter in the areas of the military operations said that over the past hours, army units operating in the direction of Abu al-Dohour engaged in fierce clashes with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and the affiliated groups which tried to benefit from the prevailing weather conditions and the thick fog to infiltrate and attack some of the army’s positions.

After the clashes with terrorists, the army units were able to liberate the villages and farms of Halban, Samaka, Tal Khatra and Khirbet Nawwaf in the direction of Abu al-Dohour- Ma’aret al-Nu’aman.

The reporter added that the clashes also resulted in killing a number of terrorists and injuring others, in addition to destroying their equipment and vehicles while the whole remnant groups fled away towards Ma’aret al-Nu’aman.

The Army and Armed Forces General Command on Tuesday announced the liberation of more than 320 square meters and the entry to more than 40 towns and villages in Idleb southeastern countryside after eliminating “Jabhat al-Nusra” terrorists and the other terrorist organizations.
