Just picked up the new "America's 1st Freedom" mag from NRA and happily note that it is focused on women gun owners. Although spouseanon already carries, she's not consistent and can come up with a dozen excuses for not going to the range. More than that, although my sons are "into" guns, I have two DILs who are content to wave bye-bye as they head off to go shooting.
The articles go into mind set, gear and training in enough detail to be useful but not so much as to overwhelm. It even has a short article about the females in the Syrian militia. (They have their own organization separate from the men, but play the same role in the fighting – sometimes guarding a pile of rocks in the sun, sometimes kicking doors down at dawn – the usual infantry stuff.)
Recommended reading this month even if only because, for most of us, our baby-mama is also our backup shooter.
