Massachusetts woman, kids killed in apparent Boston 'murder-suicide' identified
Sanofi Genzyme employee identified as woman in apparent murder-suicide
The mother implicated in what District Attorney Rachael Rollins said was “likely a double murder-suicide” in Boston on Christmas Day was a Sanofi Genzyme employee, the company confirmed Thursday.
A 40-year-old West Roxbury resident named Erin Pascal and her two children, Allison, 4 years old, and Andrew, 16 months old, were found dead at a parking garage near the Ruggles MBTA stop on Wednesday, Rollins said in a statement.
Pascal was the director of corporate social responsibility and community relations at Sanofi Genzyme in Cambridge, a position she took in October, according to her LinkedIn profile. She had previously worked as a director of corporate communications at the company for over six years.
Pascal had also worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, according to the LinkedIn profile. A 2001 graduate of Brown University, she started her career as a reporter at The Providence Journal, the profile said.
