In this video of Biden bragging about strong arming the Ukraine into firing Victor Shokin Joe Biden goes on to say that after the firing in March of 2016 he spent a lot of time with Mike Pence. That would be around April of 2016. Pence was not selected as Trumps running mate until July of 2016 so what was this Biden/Pence meeting all about.

At 53:50 in the video on this page he says "We spent a lot of time with Vice President Pence".
