I posted this last night, don't know if you saw. I ran across this YT sailing channel video where they cooked a whole pig for an orphanage in Rio Dulce, Guatemala. It is run by a non-profit called Casa Guatemala. In the video, it is mentioned that they take in underprivileged indigenous children and put them up for adoption.
Might be related, might not be…but might be worth it just to file away in the memory bank. I did watch the whole video and didn't see any of the usual symbology we have become familiar with.
