"Random House is an American book publisher and the largest general-interest paperback publisher in the world. As of July 1st, 2013, it is part of Penguin Random House, which is jointly owned by German media conglomerate Bertelsmann and British global education and publishing company Pearson PLC"
When it comes to Bertelsmann and Pearson PLC, the latter one has taken some major hits in 2019 alone. They first sold US K-12(for kindergarten to 12th grade, school book business) to Nexus Capital Management back in February. Now in December not only did their CEO announce his retirement but Pearson PLC also sold its remaining 25% share of Penguin Random House to Bertelsmann. Oh wow, that corruption sure didn't pay off.
