For me, the questioning started when I realized that everyone knew anyone could talk to God, anytime they want, but he can't talk to you–ever.
That didn't work for me.

Anyone can talk to God. And God can talk to anyone he wants. You just need to open your own personal comms with him. And no one can tell you how to do that except God.
