I just came across a very spoopy opinion piece in the NYT about a program they are using to track people via their phones.

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/12/19/opinion/location-tracking-cell-phone.html

It references another article here:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2019/12/19/opinion/location-tracking-cell-phone.html

They blatantly say in the article:

Each piece of information in this file represents the precise location of a single smartphone over a period of several months in 2016 and 2017. The data was provided to Times Opinion by sources who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to share it and could face severe penalties for doing so. The sources of the information said they had grown alarmed about how it might be abused and urgently wanted to inform the public and lawmakers."

So they're getting that data from a source - maybe in the NSA?? - who fears criminal penalties for giving it to them. But that's okay for them to use it, 'cause you know, they're the media and that.

I looked to see whether any anons had seen it, only one showed up in qresear.ch :

In another article entitled "How to Track President Trump", they talk about tracking SS agents
