He can't sign this abortion. If he were to the midterms would be lost for sure. Then he would get impeached. Even though that would not remove him from office, it would destroy his ability to function effectively.

I think, and hope, that he let it go this far to draw out and expose the rino's, as has been stated above somewhere.

This does look like a perfectly played move. It takes a two thirds majority to override a veto. The dems will all vote for that, but they would still need a bunch of rinos to vote in favor too. That would fuck up their re-election chances in Nov.
