"The Office of Court Administration was recently made aware of allegations regarding Justice Rosenbaum’s conduct," OCA spokesman Lucian Chalfen wrote in a statement. "Upon learning of those allegations, our Inspector General immediately opened an investigation and the State Commission on Judicial Conduct was contacted."
Chalfen did not identify the specific allegations in an email Saturday.
"Justice Rosenbaum has been relieved of all his judicial duties, including his position of Supervising Judge of the Civil Courts for the judicial district, his case inventory reassigned, and we have restricted his access from any nonpublic areas of the Courthouse," Chalfen's statement said.
Rosenbaum "will decline to take the office as an elected State Supreme Court Justice" on Jan. 1, Chalfen said.
Rosenbaum has long been considered an ethical stalwart in the courts. He has supervised the commercial courts for the district and was chosen the Jurist of the Year in 2018 by the regional New York state Supreme Court Judge's Association. His peers across the Seventh Judicial District selected him.
Rosenbaum could not be reached for comment. According to several lawyers, he is in Israel on a trip that had been planned earlier in the year.

Could be a false allegation, knowing this would happen. I wonder wat cases he was due to preside over?
Because POTUS is setting an example,and doing things by the book.
