Skimmed a post a few boards back talking about congress voting when most of congress is absent. With that in mind, just heard Jim/Rush speak about the "he cant veto it, Congress has already left for vacation!"

Question: If he vetoes it, can those of Congress, who are still DC, quickly go into session and vote something else?

yes, but why recall them? Have the patriots remain, let the rats leave, hopefully the patriots already have a bill prepared, then vote while the rats are away. Is that possible to do without recalling since the gov will shut down? Civics was a long time ago for me.

They would need a quorum. But what stops them from stopping a vote by just not showing up in blocs to prevent a quorum. Gonna go read.
