Tracy Sheehan is a former judge on the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida. She was elected without opposition in 2006 and took office in January 2007. Sheehan retired on March 10, 2017.

Sheehan received an undergraduate degree, with a major in communications and a minor in psychology, from Washington State University in 1980. She was awarded a J.D. from the Stetson University College of Law in 1989.

Judge Sheehan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence on the night of July 5, 2013. An officer noted a vehicle driven by Sheehan was drifting outside of the lane after she exited a parking garage. During the traffic stop, the officer noted Sheehan's eyes were watery and bloodshot, her speech was slurred, and he detected the scent of alcohol on her breath.

 

According to a police report, blood tests recorded her blood alcohol level at 0.171 percent and 0.161 percent. This amount was more than twice Florida's legal blood alcohol limit of 0.08 percent. After posting a $500 bond the following day, Sheehan was released. In a phone call, the judge commented, ". . .it's a very poor reflection on the judiciary, and that's what is most regrettable.”

In the Bible the number 17 symbolizes "overcoming the enemy" and "complete victory." God overcame the sins of rebellious humans when he began to flood the earth through rain on the 17th of the second Hebrew month. Noah's ark and its eight passengers rested on the mountains of Ararat on the 17th of the seventh month (right in the middle of God's annual Holy period known as the Feast of Tabernacles).

 

Jesus Christ gained a complete victory over death and the grave when God resurrected him near sunset on Nisan 17 (Saturday, April 8, 30 A.D.).

 

In the book of 1Corinthians the thirteenth chapter, the seventeenth mention of the word 'love' comes when the apostle Paul states that it is the greatest gift of all (1Corinthians 13:13). God's unending love (John 3:16) is truly victorious over all things. Those who stay faithful to God to the end of their lives will gain the victory over the grave when they are miraculously brought back to life (see 1Corinthians 15).
