Isn't that the attack by Russian militia against Kurds who were being protected by a buffer of US troops? If it is, it was renegade militia and the Russians gave us the okay to wipe them out. So we did. The militia apparently were expecting no Russian air support … and they got none.
None of the militia survived.
Of course, that could all be a lie. It is just as likely that the militia were defecting and Russia asked us to "deal with them."
There was NO retaliation by Russia. None. Not even a strongly worded letter. Makes me think we actually did them a favor.
