There is so much POTUS win today. Getting Mattis what he wants is THE win. Trump’s tweet references the border wall as a matter of National Defense. Trump has also said it was a mistake for the DEMs to not take advantage of an opportunity to “fix” DACA and tie that to border wall funding.

I look forward to the day our military buy’s that wall and the DEMs sh!+ bricks. After all, a wall is one of the world’s oldest military fortifications. Wall solved.

Trump can now talk about any legislation he chooses, really almost anything, from an extreme position of strength, from a position that is unassailable.

The DEMs can no longer withhold funding for the military or the wall. Checkmate.
