It's a typical middle-manager type of thing to do, cataloged in bulk by copious on-line video or old-television episodes of old situation compedies, and even older 'appartment dramas' and before that stage and even vaudvillian vagabondia off on a coach in a field at a state faire.
yours is the 'villain' character, a pide-piper of expectation always telling people who and what they are . . . then punishing them for 'being' what you said, even if they are nothing as you describe, and you don't even know them at all.
your 'type' is the fussy type and maybe if we looke further back we see you as 'Constance Gardener' who says trite and stupid things that some people equate to the one who larper her.
