Remember that Iran and its top leadership are under crippling sanctions.

The Iranian people are at a tipping point and the mullahs and current government are very weak, the population is already turned against them.

If Iran retaliates and does something stupid (like attack an embassy or military base), Trump will in turn overwhelmingly respond and embarrass Iran (and their leaders) again.

Now Iran is stuck in a corner and has no good options, Trump has out smarted them at every turn. The can not win any regional conflict if they are attacked by America, and they can not rally their population against America due to the economic sanctions. An overthrow of the current regime is looking more and more possible, with USA assistance.

We may see civil war in Iraq in order to remove the Iranian influence, and places like Syria and Yemen could get extra violent, but this is probably the first stage of a greater middle east peace plane.

What a time to be alive. Peace is in sight. Peace is the prize.
