The deep state has been pining for a fight with Iran for quite some time, that's no secret. Q stated a year ago-ish that Trump & Co. now has control of Iran. Did black hats hatch a plan to re-engage Iran in a war with the US and Trump just stop that by disguising the elimination of bad players as a response against Iran?
