I'm a lurker. I post when I have a question.

Are we losing the climate change fight?

My local newspaper today had an article that said my hometown, yes right where I'm living, has become a "Climate Smart Community". They've passed an act that prevents the city vehicles from idling for more than 10 minutes. The city police have signed on to enforce this.

On top of that, my city has a "Sustainability Task Force" that's running around changing all the incandescent bulbs on the poles to LEDs, and putting up electric car chargers in front of every public building.

I'm not even mentioning the fact that Verizon trucks are running around everywhere installing wires on poles for the 5G transmitters.

A month or so ago there was a protest downtown here where a few hundred college and high school students blocked traffic demanding that climate change was a serious issue. The mayor even showed up and gave a speech, saying the students essentially had balls and the city needs to act to save the planet. The sick thing is how many people actually buy onto this crap. I don't get it. I'm 30 years old and the weather hasn't changed at all since I was a kid.

When will this nonsense end?
