A new Iranian general has stepped out of the shadows to lead the country’s expeditionary Quds Force, becoming responsible for Tehran’s proxies across the Middle East as the Islamic Republic threatens the US with “harsh revenge” for killing its previous head, Qassem Soleimani.

The Quds Force is part of the 125,000-strong Revolutionary Guard, a paramilitary organisation that answers only to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Guard oversees Iran’s ballistic missile programme, has its naval forces shadow the US Navy in the Persian Gulf and includes an all-volunteer Basij force.

Deputies 'ping' satellite radio to track down attempted murder suspect

VALLEY CENTER, Calif. (KGTV) — Using a satellite radio "ping" signal, local deputies were able to track down an attempted murder suspect at a North County casino early Saturday.

Just before 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Valley Center Sheriff's deputies were alerted to the suspect, identified as 54-year-old Steven Salas, who was wanted for attempted murder, criminal threats, and felony domestic violence.

Using information about Salas' vehicle provided by Imperial County deputies, local authorities were able to track down Salas by sending a "ping" to his Sirius satellite radio. His vehicle was then located at Harrah's Rincon Casino in Valley Center.

Well, guns and ammo are selling like crazy again, this time in the state of Virginia and for a far more serious reason: Citizens there appear to be arming up for possible conflict with authorities.

With Virginia Democrats taking over all branches of state government, a firearms store owner in the state says sales of guns, magazines, and ammunition are up 200%, and more of his customers are paying in cash.

Why would it matter that Democrats now control all legislative branches of government in the state? Because since winning control in November, they have been promising to usher in a raft of new gun control laws including, but not limited to, gun confiscation schemes and “red flag” laws that violate the Fifth Amendment’s due process clause.

Former Vice President Joe Biden – who will never be elected president, by the way – has a message for American Christians: If you don’t defect from your faith and embrace leftism, then you’re going to be added to the government’s terror watch list.

This is what Biden promised during a recent CNN “town hall” event as he decried believers in Jesus Christ for opposing the radical LGBTQ agenda.

In Biden’s view, unless you vigorously support the transgender mafia in its effort to “transition” all children into something other than their natural biological sex, then you’re a terrorist who deserves to be marginalized from society, and possibly even shipped off to Guantanamo.

Biden’s antichrist position stems from a suggestion put forth by the radical, far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) hate group, which is pushing for all opposition to the Cult of LGBTQ to be designated as “terrorism,” which under George W. Bush’s “Patriot Act” means that an individual’s constitutional rights are nullified.

Fast food chain Chick-fil-A, by the way, despite having long pandered to Christian evangelicals, is also a supporter of the SPLC, which we previously reported is pushing not just a pro-LGBTQ agenda, but also an anti-white and antichrist agenda.

“What we had before to deal with hate crimes was we had a position in our administration, within both the Department of Justice as well as within Homeland Security, a provision to keep watch on these groups that we know are out there – like terrorist groups, they’re similar,” Biden stated, referring to the “danger” of Christians in American society.

France has endured a full month of protests against the controversial reform – on Saturday, the general strike reached its 31st consecutive day. Moreover, Saturday’s action coincided with Act 60 of the anti-government Yellow Vests protests that have been plaguing France for over a year now.

The protesters carried the flags of various trade unions, as well as assorted banners that primarily targeted pension reform. Some of them lit firecrackers on the march. One man, however, was spotted carrying a large plush heart, bearing a very personal message for France’s President Emmanuel Macron. The inscription on the giant plushie reads “Macron, I hate you with all my heart.”

CT National Guard battalion prepares to deploy to Guantanamo Bay

A few hundred members of a Niantic-based Connecticut Army National Guard battalion departed Thursday for Texas where they will spend the next several weeks training before deploying to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The 192nd Military Police Battalion spent the past year training for the deployment, during which they will provide planning, personnel and logistical support to military police units assigned to the Joint Task Force Guantanamo.

Lt. Col. Donald Chiverton, commander of the battalion, said he and other National Guard leadership traveled to “Gitmo,” part of which is used as a detention facility for suspected terrorists, ahead of the deployment to observe operations there so that they could refine the training the battalion received. The soldiers will be deployed for about 10 months, he said. He estimated that more than half of the battalion is deploying for the first time.

One of those first-timers is Anthony Repasi, a sergeant in the National Guard. His aunt, Brittani Daniels, and his boyfriend, Anthony Munoz, saw him off on Thursday, snapping pictures on the tarmac of the Guard’s Windsor Locks Army Aviation Readiness Center as he and the rest of the battalion walked in a single file line to board their flight.

Chinese pneumonia outbreak raises concerns

Chinese health authorities are trying to identify what is causing an outbreak of pneumonia in Wuhan, as the number of cases rose to 44 and Singapore said it would screen arrivals on flights from the central Chinese city.

Authorities earlier said they were investigating 27 cases of infection after rumours on social media suggested the outbreak could be linked to Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars).

The World Health Organization said it was aware of the reports, is monitoring the situation and is in contact with the Chinese government about it.

NRA Promises ‘Strong Presence’ to Block Virginia Gun Bans

The National Rifle Association said Thursday it will work with gun owners to swamp the first hearing of the Virginia Senate committee considering new gun bans in an effort to beat back the gun-control proposals from Governor Ralph Northam (D.).

NRA spokeswoman Catherine Mortensen told the Washington Free Beacon that the gun-rights group is mobilizing its members to appear at the first meeting of the Virginia Senate's Courts of Justice on Jan. 13. The organization hopes that pressure from constituents will make newly elected Democrats, who helped the party capture control of the state legislature, think twice about supporting gun bans pursued by the state's Democratic governor. Those new Democrats, who were silent on gun bans during the election, hold the key to how far the two-vote Democratic majority in the state Senate and the five-vote majority in the House of Delegates go with new gun laws.
